THE HUNGER AND THE DUSK #1 - REVIEW
Writer: G. Willow Wilson
Artist: Christian Wildgoose
Letterer: Simon Bowland
This series feels a tad bit similar if you have watched or know of the World of Warcraft movie.
In that movie to factions at war must come together to overcome odds set against them. I am sure this new comic series will become more than that but I couldn't help but chuckle at the similarities. Nothing wrong with that though as at one point I was a big time WoW player and even going back to my childhood of playing Warcraft 1, 2, and 3. So for me the similarity was awesome.
THE GOOD
The art is bad ass, loved it. Had some great "head loppin" and enough mystery that will make me buy #2. Surprisingly there really is not many good comic series with orcs in it like this. None that come to mind and none that I have read in the past, so it's nice to read something that feels adult, but with orcs!
THE BAD
Not really a deal breaker but the two main characters by the end of the first issue are kinda falling for each other. Seems like something you would want to drag out a bit more to develop naturally.
