IT'S THAT GOOD

It is pretty hard to find music with that western feel to it, no vocals reminiscent to a movie soundtrack and absolutely just knock it out of the park. On my first listen to the album, ever song that came on was the best one on the album. It's really incredible to keep that consistency and caliber of songwriting through an entire album without me thinking at least one song is "not as good".

MY INTRODUCTION TO THIS STYLE OF MUSIC

I am going to talk about a video game for a moment but it is to show you where I am coming from as far as finding this album. For those total dorks out there like me, one of the major draws to playing the Playstation game The Last Of Us was the amazing intro song that was shown off in marketing and even played live at a Playstation event some years ago. Gustavo Santaolalla is the artists behind that main theme for the game and it is DAMN GOOD. My point is that I sometimes here a song in a game or movie and I try to "chase" that sound down and find a band that basically IS that same genre but I can get a whole album of it. So to my surprise, and satisfaction, this band came upon me and man does it feel good. Hermanos Gutiérrez has done such an excellent job of being to brothers just killing it on these records. I will also add that they look cool as hell on stage and the one guys hats are slick and now I want one.

You can find a link to there website below and they have a current tour date set for 2024. It starts off in Atlanta (which is where I am) so I think I will be attending that to check it out & pick up some more of their records. Besides that you can always see their live performance on Tiny Desk, which is always nice.
Just wanted to share this 2022 album with you and share some amazing music with anybody out there reading.
